AISA reschedules state basketball tournament

The AISA has rescheduled its basketball state tournament due to the threat of inclement weather.

“Due to the possibility of inclement weather, we feel it is the best interest of our schools/students to postpone tomorrow’s Final Four Basketball Tournament.  We regret any inconvenience that this may cause your school and/or supporters, but the safety of those traveling is our highest priority.  Attached is a revised schedule for the remainder of the AISA State Tournament,” the Alabama Independent School Association said via a release Tuesday.

Marengo Academy has both its boys and girls teams remaining in the Final Four. Those games, which had been scheduled for Wednesday morning, will be moved to 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning at Huntingdon College in Montgomery.
