ACES presents Women in Agriculture training June 14

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is presenting a WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE program June 14, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Blackbelt Research and Extension Center in Marion Junction. This program is exclusively for women taught by women.

This will be a hands-on learning experience in six different areas in agriculture. The six sessions will consist of learning to put up permanent and temporary fencing; identifying check points on a tractor and how to drive a tractor along with different implements; pest control and monitoring in forages; how to hook to a gooseneck or bumper trailer and back it up; forage evaluation, and animal health including needles, vaccine selection and injection sites.
