The search for a missing Linden girl has ended after authorities located 18-year-old Madeline Ward in Ohio earlier this afternoon.

Demopolis Police Department Chief Tommie Reese indicated that an investigation into Ward’s whereabouts began when her car was found last night at Demopolis City Landing containing some of her belongings.

The DPD worked alongside the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the United States Marshals Service in its efforts to find Ward, who was found to be entirely unharmed after being interviewed by U.S. Marshals.

Authorities provided no official reason for Ward’s departure from the area but noted that the missing persons alert and BOLO had been cancelled as of approximately 4:30 this afternoon.

The missing persons report that had been issued noted it was believed Ward was traveling in a Black 2002 Saturn Coupe with Ohio plates and was in the company of 22-year-old David Haun.
