DPD makes robbery arrest from 2011 case

ronald jason richardsonOn Jan. 27 the Demopolis Police Department made an arrest on a Robbery case that occurred in 2011. In July 2011, a suspect entered the Smoke and Chew Store on Highway 80 West, where he presented a gun to rob the clerk.

Based on the new evidence DPD arrested Ronald Jason Richardson, age of Demopolis, for Robbery First degree. Richardson was processed and transported to the Marengo county Detention Center.

Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese gave praise to the Criminal Investigation Division for resolving this case. He also said that this shows that his department will not give up on a case.
