Weather threat moves Demopolis, Linden, ALJ sub-regional contests

The Demopolis Lady Tigers will have to wait at least one more day to attempt to punch their ticket to the Class 5A Central Regional at Alabama State University. The Lady Tigers’ sub-regional matchup against visiting Beauregard is now scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday after it was shifted from its Monday time slot due to the threat of severe weather.

Marengo County and much of south Alabama is under a tornado watch this evening until 9 p.m. or later.

The Linden Lady Patriots will host Georgiana at noon Tuesday before Linden’s boys team travels to Georgiana for a 7 p.m. tip. A.L. Johnson will employ a similar plan in rescheduling its Monday game.

ALJ will travel to J.F. Shields Tuesday at 2 p.m.. The ALJ and Shields faithful will then make the trek to Thomaston as the A.L. Johnson boys host J.F. Shields in the sub-regional round Tuesday at 7 p.m.
