Vote for DHS in State Farm’s ‘Celebrate My Drive’ contest

State Farm Insurance Company is sponsoring a program, “Celebrate My Drive,” to donate $3.5 million to school systems across the country. Demopolis High School has been registered in this event and is eligible for prizes that will be awarded to top “commitment” getting schools.

There are 10-$100,000 awards and 90-$25,000 awards that will be divided equally between the categories of large schools and small schools. Ten Percent of the winnings will be earmarked to help promote teen driver safety in our school system. The top vote getter in each of the two size school categories will also get a concert from country music sensation: The Band Perry.

Voting (making a commitment to safe driving) is easy. Anyone ages 14 and up with a valid email address can log onto http://www.celebratemydrive. com on their computer or mobile device and make their pledge daily!

Teachers, students, parents, and members of the community can vote once a day per email address. Voting will take place from Wednesday, October 15th thru Friday, October 24th.

Everyone is encouraged to vote as many times as possible throughout the next 10 days to support this effort. This is a quick and easy way that you can help support our school system and promote teen driver safety.
