UWA at No. 19 in DII poll

The University of West Alabama football team climbed four spots to No. 19 in this week’s American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II poll. The Tigers are the only Gulf South Conference team ranked in the coaches’ top 25.

UWA is 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the GSC after knocking off last week’s No. 16 team, Valdosta State, 39-28, this past Saturday on the road. The Tigers continue GSC play Saturday, hosting West Georgia (2-1) at Tiger Stadium. Kick off is set for 6 p.m.
