Tiger soccer thumps Central

Demopolis (5-5-1) soccer gave up an early goal to Central-Tuscaloosa before storming back with 10 unanswered strikes to pick up a 10-1 win Tuesday night.

Leif Midgorden scored an unassisted goal. Christian Corbitt connected on two goals with assists from Austin Brooks and Jeremy Chu. Brooks scored on two unassisted efforts including the lone goal of the second half.

Tyler Overstreet scored on a corner kick. Oscar Valdivia found the net on two penalty kicks while Chu scored on a direct kick. Adam Brooker also scored a goal.

“We didn’t finish the game off the way I thought we should have. Overall it was a good match,” Demopolis coach Keith Jackson said. “We still need to put our second half with our first half. We’re going to try to do that when we go to Bryant Friday.”
