Subject arrested after firing shots near Red Barn

Seneca Raby 015 0The Demopolis Police Department responded to call at the Red Barn in reference to shots being fired Thursday evening. Upon arrival officers made contact with several individuals in the parking lot who stated that a subject by the name of Seneca Raby had just shot several times at them.

Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese said that officers were told that the suspect had run behind the Red Barn toward the wood line. At this point officers gave chase along with the

DPD K-9.

DPD K-9 Officer Bo was used to apprehend the subject after he refused to give up. Reese said that during the arrest the K-9 Officer Bo was injured and is now receiving treatment from the veterinarian.

Officers were able to locate a handgun in the area of where the suspect was arrested.

Seneca Raby, 34,of Gallion, Al., was transported to Bryan Whitfield ER for treatment and then to the Marengo County Detention Center. He is charged with the following:

1. Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits

2. Ex-Felon in Possession of a Firearm

3. Resisting Arrest

4. Harassment of, interference with etc., duties of police animal
