Demopolis man killed in single-vehicle accident

A single-vehicle crash early Friday morning claimed the life of a Demopolis man.

The crash occurred at 6:45 a.m. on U.S. 43 three miles south of Demopolis. Houston Lee Jones, 59, was killed when the 1999 Kia Sportage he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

No additional information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
