Lady Bulldogs hold off Thomasville for 1-0 win

Sweet Water scored its lone run of the game in the third inning Thursday, but gave Emily Black enough run support to anchor a 1-0 victory over Thomasville.

Lara Little singled home Kayla Marshall, who walked to start the inning, to account for all of the Lady Bulldog offense in the contest.

Black scattered three hits and three walks while striking out six for the complete game win.

Peyton Singley, Sara Irvin and Victoria Washington each finished 1-for-2 while Kamae Retic and Little went 1-for-3 in the win.

The result set Sweet Water at 3-0 on the young season following a 9-1 win over Jackson and an 11-1 win over Millry.

Sweet Water is set to visit Choctaw County Monday before traveling to Demopolis Tuesday.
