First Baptist of Demopolis to host conference Sept. 25-28

First Baptist Church of Demopolis will be hosting the “Spiritual Awakening Conference” beginning Sunday, Sept. 25 and running through Wednesday, Sept. 28. This is a free conference and the entire community is invited.

Rev. Don Graham, an evangelist from Clanton, Ala., will be preaching in the Sunday morning service. Rev. Graham has been preaching around Alabama and the United States for many years. His passion is to see a great move of God take place in this generation. Dr. Sammy Gilbreath, director of evangelism for the Alabama Baptist State Convention will be preaching in the Sunday evening service. Sammy has an amazing testimony of God’s miracle power in his life, and he uses his story to help lead others to faith in Jesus Christ.

Dr. Kevin Hamm, pastor of Gardendale First Baptist Church in Birmingham will be preaching in the Monday evening service. Dr. Hamm is a gifted communicator and well-known around our state. Gardendale’s services are aired weekly on ABC 33/40 in Birmingham.

Dr. Dan Lanier, pastor of Northcrest Baptist Church of Meridian, Miss., will be preaching in the Tuesday evening service. Dr. Lanier has led Northcrest Baptist effectively for several years to reach many people in that city. Dr. Lanier has previously worked in full-time evangelism. He is frequently invited to preach at evangelism conferences in the southeast.

Dr. Ted Traylor, pastor of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Fla., will be preaching in the Wednesday evening service. Dr. Traylor has pastored Olive Baptist for over 25 years, and in his time there the church has reached thousands with the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has previously served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention Pastors Conference.
