DPD issues downtown parking warning

Demopolis Police Department Chief Tommie Reese has issued a warning to those parking in the downtown area.

“I am getting a lot of complaints about people parking the wrong direction, against the flow of traffic,” Reese said.

Reese said his department will begin issuing citations to vehicles parked against the flow of traffic.

“I want to encourage everyone to park with the flow of traffic,” Reese said. “Unless the street is one way, you can’t park on the opposite side of the street. Thanks for your cooperation.”
