DPD arrests two in Robertson Bank robbery

The Demopolis Police Department arrested two suspects Tuesday in connection with the Robertson Banking Company robbery that took place April 22.

The robbery occurred at 11:48 a.m. at the Main Branch of Robertson Banking Company in downtown Demopolis.

The DPD arrested Tommie Lee Williams, 48, of Tuscaloosa and Roderick Moore, 49, of Tuscaloosa charging both with Robbery in the Second Degree.

Both suspects were taken into custody with the assistance of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department and the Tuscaloosa Police Department.

Moore and Williams were transported to the Demopolis Police Department for processing before being moved to the Marengo County Detention Center to await a bond hearing.

Reese praised both his officers and those of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Department and Tuscaloosa Police Department for their work on the case.
