DPD arrests two following Walmart thefts

The Demopolis Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection with a Jan. 17 incident at Walmart Superstore in which the duo managed to shoplift a computer.

DPD arrested Tina Denise McNealey, 30, and and Latonya Rena Campbell, 28, both of Demopolis, following an investigation that included the use of the department’s Facebook page to help identify the women, whose images were captured by a security camera in the store.

Based on the investigation, Campbell faces two counts of Burglary in the Third Degree and McNealey faces one count of Theft of Property in the Second Degree along with one count of Theft of Property in the Third Degree. Bond is set at $10,000 for each individual.

Reese also credited the DPD and its Criminal Investigation Department for resolving this and similar cases.
