DHS open house for dual enrollment July 7
Demopolis High School will have an open house Tuesday, July 7 from 11:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. This will be a time for any student that is interested in career tech dual enrollment classes for the upcoming year.
DHS will be offering dual enrollment through Shelton State. If a student is interested in taking any of the following classes, they are encouraged to come:
- Electrical Technology (this course will be offered every day at the Higher Ed. Center. This class will also get the orientation course required for all freshmen out of the way and receive the Ready to Work Credential)
- Intro to Hospitality Management (Online course)
- Serve Safe (Online Course)
- Microcomputer Applications (Online course)
Shelton State will be on campus on July 7 and this will be a day for parents to drop by and ask questions. If you know that you want your child to take one or more of these classes, it will also be a time to fill out the appropriate paperwork to get them enrolled.
Please be advised that all these courses will be offered FREE OF CHARGE!!!! Don’t miss this opportunity for your child to get ahead in college and save yourself some tuition money in the process.
