Demopolis Dixie Youth 10U raising funds for state tourney trip

After finishing as district runner-up over the weekend, the Demopolis Dixie 10U All-Star Team is preparing for its trip to the state tournament.

While the team continues its on-field preparations, it has also begun the arduous task of raising funds for the trip to Enterprise.

The team has launched a GoFundMe page with a $1,000 goal and will also be bagging groceries and selling snow cones at Vowell’s Friday.

All funds procured from the efforts will go to cover the cost of hotel rooms and meals for the girls during the weeklong tournament, which is set for July 10-15. To contribute to the GoFundMe campaign, click here.

The Demopolis 10U Dixie Youth All-Star Team consists of Anna Katherine Sellers, Tayler Pipkins, Kyla Brown, Jessica Thomas, Marriana Pearson, Lauren Smith, Weezie Hughes, Haylee Rowley, Lizzie Cannon, Timya Thurman, Mary Creigh Smith and Jasmine Anderson.
