Brenda Tuck, Marengo County Economic Development Authority Executive Director, Chuck Smith, RockTenn Manager of Human Resources, Jenn Tate, Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, and Mayor Mike Grayson of Demopolis attended the Manufacture Alabama Annual Meeting September 25-27.

The Legislative Dinner on Wednesday evening provided the participants the opportunity to meet with their local legislative delegates and discuss issues and opportunities. Speakers during Thursday and Friday sessions of the event included George Clark of Manufacture Alabama, Tommy Joseph of International Paper, David Carroll of Hunt Refining Company, Roger Tutterow of Mercer University, Chancellor Mark Heinrich of the Alabama Community College System and Governor Robert Bentley.

Networking opportunities proved beneficial for existing industry as well as for several ongoing projects for both the EDA and the Chamber, as well as for the City as a whole. A final networking opportunity and dinner was held on Friday afternoon with the Demopolis Group “Heart Attack” performing for the evening’s entertainment.
