Dallas County sweeps Marengo High basketball teams

PLANTERSVILLE — The Marengo High basketball teams dropped a trio of games to Class 5A Dallas County Thursday.

The junior varsity Panthers opened with a 50-28 loss. Quindarius Ausbon had eight points, five rebounds, one assist and three steals. Roosevelt Thompson had eight points, five rebounds and one steal.

Pat Haskell led the Dallas County JV with 10 points.

The loss dropped the Marengo JV to 5-10.

The Lady Panthers followed with a 54-34 loss to the Dallas County Lady Hornets. Iesha Bouler led Marengo with 10 points, 19 rebounds, two assists, three steals and a blocked shot. Kimmesha Jackson paced Dallas County with 14 points.

The loss dropped the MHS girls to 4-11 overall.

The varsity Panthers wrapped up the night with a 58-40 loss to Dallas County. Cordarius Pritchett had 23 points with six rebounds, three assists and five steals to lead Marengo.

Jerrod Moorer led Dallas County with 24 points.

Marengo falls to 3-12 with the loss.
