COTR selects sixth grade elves

COTRElf14Since its inception 43 years ago, the Elf has been the symbol of Christmas on the River. Each year a group of students is selected to represent Christmas on the River as Elves. This year, we are excited to present to you our five COTR Elves. They are sixth grade students at Demopolis Middle School and they were selected by their teachers for the honor.

Left to Right:

Arri Beason: Arri is the daughter of Patricia Wright and Charles Beason, Jr. Her favorite part of Christmas on the River is the parade and shopping in the square. Ari says it is an honor to be selected as an Elf and she is excited to participate in all the activities.

Stephanie Benderson: Stephanie is the daughter of Tawanda Samuel and the granddaughter of Dorthy Samuel. She loves the fireworks at the River Landing and is excited to wear the elf costume and looks forward to riding in the day parade.

Kelsey Causey: Kelsey is the daughter of Tom and Tammy Causey. She loves riding on the floats and going to Fair in the Square. Kelsey is excited to be an elf because she gets to be a part of the symbol of Christmas on the River.

Walt Griffin: Walt is the son of Jimbo and Angela Reynolds. His favorite part of Christmas on the River is the parade. He looks forward to being an elf because he gets to participate in all the COTR activities.

Brayden Harris: Brayden is the son of Leroy and LaKeisha Harris. He enjoys both the day and night parade during Christmas on the River. He is excited to be an elf and thinks it is an honor to be in the parade.
