Chamber announces chair, committee for 2016 COTR

The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that Susanna Naisbett will serve again as this year’s Christmas on the River chair.

This year’s committee members are Rebecca Hasty, Caitlin Bambarger, Morgan Nelson, Katharine Glass, Mary Beth Hilchey, Andi Turberville, Ann Parsons, Dee Wright, David Anderson, Paul Willingham and Linde McAdams.

Christmas on the River will take place Nov. 30 through Dec. 3.

Fair in the Square vendor applications and parade applications are now available and can be picked up at the chamber office or found online at www.demopolischamber.com.

Christmas on the River pageant applications are available at the chamber office, Demopolis City Schools, and West Alabama Christian School. They are also available online at www.demopolischamber.com. Pageants will take place Oct. 1 and Oct. 3-5. Applications are due Sept. 21 and should be submitted to the chamber office. Reserved seating tickets are available on a first come basis. They may be purchased on Sept.26th at 9 a.m. at the chamber office.

Registration forms for RV parking are available at the chamber office.

Work days are being scheduled at the COTR warehouse in preparation for the Children’s Day Parade and Nautical Parade. Workdays are held every Thursday starting at 3 p.m. Earlier times are available on Thursdays for volunteers. Contact the Chamber at (334) 289-0270 for more information, and please contact the chamber ahead of time if you have a large group interested in volunteering at the warehouse. Please note that the work day schedule will change in October as Christmas on the River approaches. The Chamber will send out dates before the schedule changes.
