Bond set for Wesley, Banks after weekend shootings

Bond was set Friday in the cases of Travis Doniel Wesley of Demopolis and Christopher Banks of both Gallion and Greene County. The bond for Wesley, who was arrested for the murder of Lequinton Montrell Lomax, is set at $1 million.

Wesley turned himself in without incident to the Demopolis Police and U.S. Marshal Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force Thursday morning at approximately 4:30 a.m.

Wesley is alleged to have shot Lomax Saturday, Oct. 26 at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Wolf Circle in Demopolis. He is currently being held at the Marengo County Detention Center.

The bond for Banks has been set at $500,000. Banks is charged with First Degree Assault after allegedly shooting Joe Vaughn in the leg Saturday at approximately 5:50 p.m.

Banks turned himself in to the Demopolis Police Department Thursday morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. He is currently being held in the Marengo County Detention Center.

Vaughn was transferred to Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa to receive treatment.
