Texas man arrested in Demopolis for human trafficking

Law enforcement arrested the driver of an 18-wheeler on Monday, June 6, on a charge of human trafficking.

Demopolis Police Chief Rex Flowers said DPD officers and investigators from the 17th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s  Drug Task force  stopped the 18-wheeler on U.S. Highway 80 West near Mr. G’s restaurant.

Juan Escajeda, 27, from Fabens, Texas, was arrested on a warrant from the U.S. Marshalls Office. He was transported to the Marengo County Detention Center.
