Virginia Walker

Virginia Ann (Jenny) Alday Walker 73 years old of Gallion, Alabama left this world to be with Jesus on Saturday October 25, 2014. She lost her four month battle against illness and passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 15, 1941 in Donalsonville, Georgia to William Frank Alday (deceased) and Georgia Alday Hart (deceased). She spent her life as a homemaker and mother of 12. She is survived by her husband of 44 years L.A. Walker (Gallion), and her children; Robbie McLauchlin (Bev) of Lakeland, FL, Tammy Gano (Shannon) of Lakeland, FL, Patty Tillas of Newport News, VA, Wendy Barton (Ernie) of Chicago, IL, Rebel Wilson (Donnie) of Lakeland, FL, Randy McLauchlin (Marcelle) of Palatka, FL, Lee Walker, Jr of Auburndale, FL, Randy Walker of Auburndale, FL, Gina Bardin (Lowell) of Lakeland, FL, Angela Hinson (Mike) of Demopolis, AL, and Mark Walker (Rebecca) of Demopolis, AL, seventeen grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, Sylvia Jordan, sister, of Hoschton, GA, Louie Alday (Mary), brother, of Crawfordville, FL, Janie Paul (Wayne), sister, of Dover, FL, Kenny Fleming, brother, of Dothan, AL, and many beloved aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Paul McLauchlin of Lakeland, FL. A memorial service will be held in honor of her life, on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Kirk Funeral Home in Demopolis, AL. Visitation will be held at 10:00 to be followed by the service at 11:00. All family and friends will be received at the family’s home in Gallion immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in our mother’s name to the Hospice Angels Foundation at Hospice Advantage, 1307 Highway 80 West, Demopolis, AL, 36732. We would like to say a most heartfelt thank you to the many nurses and medical professionals who gave such wonderful and compassionate care to our mother at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital of Demopolis, DCH and Noland Hosptials of Tuscaloosa, Hale County Hospital of Greensboro, and to the Angels of Mercy at Hospice Advantage of Demopolis. We could not have done it without the compassionate care of each of you.
