Odom played in 19 games, averaging 8.8 minutes, 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds. Hewitt played in 24 games, averaging 13.0 minutes, 1.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Eleven Tiger newcomers feature nine players that transferred to West Alabama from either junior college or other four-year institutions.

West Alabama begins play with exhibition games at Alabama on Nov. 4 and at Southern Miss on Nov. 8. The Tigers open the regular season Nov. 13 at home against Tuskegee University.
