UWA welcomes incoming freshmen to Tiger Trails Orientation

uwa picThe University of West Alabama welcomed more than 300 incoming freshmen to its annual Tiger Trails Orientation last week. The group of freshmen spent two days learning the ropes on campus from various departments. The event ended with a registration period for students to sign up for the first classes of their college career.

“There is tremendous activity and excitement at UWA right now, as evidenced by the outstanding participation in the transfer and freshman orientation sessions this week,” said Bill Wagnon, dean of admissions and enrollment management at UWA.

“We had a standing room only audience of future students and their parents at the freshman orientation opening session on Thursday, including 310 students. We are looking forward to these students joining the UWA community this fall,” Wagnon said.

Students who are interested in attending UWA but did not attend orientation can still sign up for classes for the fall semester.
