UWA up to 12th in D2Football.com poll

UWA vs Concordia-2600LIVINGSTON — The University of West Alabama climbed two spots to No. 12 in the D2Football.com Top 25 Poll after defeating Concordia College, 71-14, last week.

West Alabama is one of two Gulf South Conference teams in the D2Football.com Poll. Valdosta State remains in the top spot for the fifth consecutive week.

The Tigers are 3-1 overall and 1-0 in GSC play. Delta State, 3-1 and 2-0, visits Tiger Stadium on the UWA campus Thursday in a game televised by the GSC-TV LIVE Network. Kickoff for the regionally televised game is set for 6:35 p.m. CDT.

The West Alabama-Delta State game will be shown live by ESPN3, Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS), Cox Sports Television (CST), Mediacom (Channel 77), WJXS-TV 24 in Anniston, Ala., and WHCQ-TV in Cleveland, Miss. Fans should check with their cable or satellite provider to see if the game will be aired in their viewing area. The game will be shown on cable in the Sumter County area on Mediacom Channel 8.
