UWA names first golf coach

Adam Buie has been named the first golf coach in University of West Alabama history, according to an announcement today by Athletics Director Stan Williamson.

Buie is charged with starting the Tiger men’s and women’s golf programs from scratch and will coach both teams. UWA will begin golf competition starting with the 2013-14 season, but Buie will come on board immediately to begin recruiting players and putting the foundation of the programs in place.
