UWA football with four TV games

LIVINGSTON — For the second time in four seasons the University of West Alabama football Tigers will play four games on television, including a matchup with defending NCAA Division II national champion Valdosta State on Thursday, Oct. 10 at Tiger Stadium on the UWA campus.

UWA, the defending Gulf South Conference champion, will also play conference opponents Florida Tech and Delta State in Thursday evening matchups on Sept. 19 and Oct. 3, respectively. The Tigers will kick off the 2013 season by entertaining Clark Atlanta in a televised contest that kicks off at 11 a.m. CDT.

The Tigers travel to Florida Tech to take on the Panthers in the NCAA Division II Football Game of the Week on CBS College Sports. The games against Delta State and Valdosta State will air on the GSC-TV LIVE Network, which includes CSS, CoxSportsTV, Mediacom, etc. The Clark Atlanta at UWA game will air live on CSS and Mediacom.

Since the GSC-TV LIVE package began in 2005, West Alabama has played 18 televised games. West Alabama also played four televised games during the 2010 season. The Tigers are 10-8 in televised games since 2005.

GSC-TV LIVE begins its ninth season in 2013. The GSC became the first league in Division II to start its own regional cable network in 2005.
