Two wanted in Callahan killing

The Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit has obtained Capital Murder warrants on Timothy “Junior” Thornton, 24 years of age, and Kiunte “Felon” Furr, 18 years of age.

Thornton and Furr are believed to be responsible for the shooting death of Matthew Callahan, 17, at River Road Condos around 10:50 pm on April 9th, 2013. It is believed that Thornton and Furr were remotely acquainted with Callahan and met him with the intent of robbery. There are no known vehicle descriptions associated with Thornton or Furr and both are believed to be armed and dangerous. The United States Marshal’s Task Force is assisting in the apprehension of these two suspects.
