Two-vehicle accident near Rock Tenn Friday

A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. 80 and Highway 28 near the entrance of Rock Tenn late Friday afternoon. Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese said an 18-wheeler and a passenger car collided as both were traveling eastbound on U.S. 80. The driver of the passenger car was transported to Bryan Whitfield Memorial Hospital. The extent of the driver’s injuries were not known. The driver of the truck was unharmed. Reese urged motorists traveling near Rock Tenn to use extreme caution as crews continue to work the scene into the evening.
