Two DMS students job shadow at DPD

DPD Chief Tommie Reese said they learned about the history of the police department, the K-9 unit, police administration and the Chief of Police. Reese said the students also got a chance to ride in a patrol car with an officer to see what goes on inside of a police cruiser.

“Job Shadowing wasn’t around when most officers here were in school and I really do believe that this is a good program allowing the students to see what a career in law enforcement is really like,” Reese said.
