Tiger track places in four events

The Demopolis High School track team competed in the Northridge Jaguar Invitational Saturday. Seven Tiger competitors earned medals on the day.

Hollis Bright took third in the shotput. Gracie Boykin took gold in the mile with a time of 6:07 while Demetrius Kemp earned second in the long jump with a leap of 21 and a half feet.

The boys 4-by-800 track team earned the silver with a time of 9:02. That quartet consisted of Rodney Harper, Peyton Pearson, D.J. Howell and Alston Dinning.
