Three arrested for fake prescriptions

Demopolis Police Department Investigations Division learned May 10 that two suspects were presenting forged prescriptions at various pharmacies in Demopolis. Investigators were able to detain these suspects for presenting Forged Prescriptions to Obtain Controlled Substances. Based on the investigation, the Demopolis Police Department arrested three suspects.

Derrick Nunn, 48, of Birmingham is charged with Unlawful Possession or Receipt of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Forged Instrument Third degree.

Ashley Nicole Buford, 25, of Birmingham is charged with Unlawful Possession or Receipt of a Controlled Substance.

Spencer Denard McDaniel, 31, of Birmingham is charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime.

All three suspects were transported to the Marengo County Detention Center.
