Thomas Eddins

Thomas (Tom) Harrison Eddins, age 88, of Foley, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 at his home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at Riverside Cemetery in Demopolis with Kirk Funeral Home Demopolis Chapel directing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Thelma Eddins; his son, Thomas Darrell Eddins of Rosebud, Texas, one great-granddaughter of Phoenix, Ariz., and five sisters. He is survived by his much-loved wife of 67 years, Imogene Eddins of Foley; two children, Cotton Eddins of Demopolis and Belinda Johnson of Elberta; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters, a brother, and many nieces and nephews. He previously lived in Demopolis and Tuscaloosa. He was born on Sept. 14, 1926 to the late Harrison and Thelma Eddins. He was a World War II veteran, an avid fisherman and hunter, and he enjoyed the outdoors and his family. Pallbearers will be Casey Johnson, Andy Eddins, Kirk Stephens, Don Johnson, Billy Burnham and Matthew Eddins. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or 2132 McFarland Blvd. E., Tuscaloosa, AL. 35401.
