BUTLER — Sweet Water (6-2) notched another win Friday night with a 34-0 blasting of 2A, Region 1 foe Choctaw County (2-6).

The Bulldogs amassed 354 yards rushing as a team on 56 attempts while holding the Tigers to 65 yards of total offense and just two first downs.

Jakoby Aldridge led the way for Sweet Water with 165 yards rushing and a touchdown on 26 carries. The performance pushes his season totals to 1,489 yards and 19 touchdowns thus far this season.

Demarcus Gamble also turned in a 100-yard performance with 112 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries for the Bulldogs.

Gamble opened the scoring with a 31-yard run at the 7:31 mark in the first quarter. He found the end zone again with a minute left in the frame on an 8-yard run.

Aldridge got his lone touchdown of the night with 5:41 to play before half when he scored on a 16-yard run to cap a lengthy drive that had two previous scores called back on penalties.

Gamble added a pair of 4-yard scoring runs in the second half, getting his first with 7:10 to play in the third and another with 9:25 to go in the fourth. Tristan proved true on four of his five extra point kicks in the contest.

Sweet Water will attempt to lock up the Region 1 championship Friday when it hosts Mobile Christian (7-1) at Nolan Atkins Stadium.

Choctaw County will look to snap a six-game skid against county rival Southern Choctaw.
