Sweet Water middle school football drops Millry

Sweet Water’s middle school football team dropped MIllry 26-24 Monday night. The Bulldogs led 26-0 at the start of the fourth quarter when they pulled their eighth graders and Millry closed the gap.

Jadyn Landrum opened the scoring for the Bulldogs with a 60-yard run. Antonio Sullivan, in his first start at quarterback, added to the lead when he hit J.T. Etheridge for a 25-yard scoring strike late in the second quarter.

Sasha Smith opened the second half scoring with a 48-yard run to stretch it to 18-0. Smith then intercepted a pass on defense and returned it for a score. Garret Lewis followed with a conversion run to set the margin at 26-0.
