Sucarnochee Revue to stage ‘A Joyful Christmas’

The Sucarnochee Revue will tape a live performance on the University of West Alabama campus Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at Bibb Graves Auditorium. The special show will feature several guests and regulars performing Christmas tunes.

The show’s guest line-up include Jackson Caps, Hanna Lena, Red Cromer, the Living World Choir and Valissa Sams. Each will bring to the stage some of their favorite Christmas classics. Regular performers including Mississippi Chris Sharp, Britt Gulley, and J. Burton Fuller will also perform.

Revue host Jacky Jack White says the show is sure to bring the Christmas spirit to the audience. “We have a great lineup of talent for this show. These acts like Hanna Lena and Valissa Sams are really making some good music, and we’re happy to have them on the show for this special taping,” White said.

The Sucarnochee Revue spotlights traditional music of the Black Belt Region. Upcoming shows include a Feb. 9 taping and an April 20 taping to be held in conjunction with the Sucarnochee Folklife Festival. General admission for the Sucarnochee Revue is $8.
