Another night of beautiful dresses, stunning girls and a little excitement goes down in the books as Young Miss Christmas on the River 2015 was crowned at the Demopolis Civic Center. Allen Bishop, the Master of Ceremonies, announced all 26 contestants. They all showed off their poise, beauty, and personality for a spot in the top 12. Those receiving the honor are as follows: Sarah Michael Overmyer, Brinkli Reece Wood, Haylee Rae Rowley, Adalyn Broox Lindsey, Anna Katherine Sellers, Isabella Rosamond MacLennan, Lauren Olivia Tripp, Madelyn Baty Singleton, Elizabeth Anne Lawler, Sasser Elizabeth Braswell, Wesley Elizabeth Craft, and Emery Elizabeth Wideman.

After the top 12 presentation, the top 5 were chosen. After the top five question was asked, giving the judges one final look, Young Miss Christmas on the River 2015 and her court were announced.

Fourth alternate, Emery Elizabeth Wideman, wore a white gown with a light pink tulle overlay and crystals. Emery is the daughter of Chad and Beth Wideman and attends U. S. Jones where she is in the third grade.

In an ivory one shoulder gown with tiered ruffles, Elizabeth Anne Lawler was announced as third alternate. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Anne Marie Lawler and is in the fourth grade at U. S. Jones.

Adalyn Broox Lindsey earned second alternate wearing a beautiful bubble gum pink gown. Adalyn is the daughter of Jessica Crawford and is a third grader at U. S. Jones.

Wearing a bright red ruffled gown was first alternate, Wesley Elizabeth Craft. Wesley is the daughter of Rodney and Traci Craft. She attends Sumter Academy and is in 4th grade.

Anna Katherine Sellers was crowned Young Miss Christmas on the River 2015. Anna wore a gorgeous white ruffled gown adorned with crystals. She is the daughter of Brian and Sebbie Sellers and attends West Alabama Christian School where she is in the fifth grade. She looks forward to attending tomorrow night’s pageant and being on the float in the Christmas on the River Parade with her court.

Tomorrow night brings the pageants to a close with the Little Miss COTR pageant at the civic center at 6 p.m.
