School Foundation Appreciation Celebration honors donors

Recognized at Tuesday evening's Demopolis City School Foundation's Donor Appreciation Celebration in the prestigious Executive level were, Dan and Vickie Wilson, Joe and Blair Parr (Parr's, Inc.) and John Cox Webb IV for the Marie Suttle Webb Foundation.

Honored at the Patron level were Robertson Banking Company, Jackson-Newell Foundation, Claud and Cindy Neilson, Rotary Club of Demopolis, John Cox Webb IV, Louise Webb Reynolds and U.S. Jones Grand Reunion. Overall, the Foundation awarded $51,344 to Demopolis City Schools classrooms through 20 grants last year.

Presented with Partner recognition were John and Nancy Northcutt, John and Amanda Barnes and The Demopolis Times. The Foundation currently has $856,271 in assets and raised $59,600 through memberships and memorials last year, along with anothe $19,602 through the SchoolFest event held at each campus in the spring.

Allie Busby, a fourth grader at U.S. Jones, won this year's art contest. Her artwork was featured in a framed print sent to DCSF patrons.
