Sally Mackey is Miss Junior COTR 2012

Sally Mackey was crowned Miss Junior Christmas on the River Monday night. She wore a black tulle gown that was embroidered with spring flowers and a touch of sparkle. Sally is the daughter of Bill and Lori Mackey.

Being a sixth grader in a pageant that goes up to eighth grade, Sally was very surprised and bubbly as ever. Her personality really shown thru during the on-stage question. She was asked, “If you could give a present to someone, what would it be and to whom would you give it?” Sally’s answer, “I would give a dog to my best friend.” She then giggled as she gracefully left the stage.

Sally, who is not a stranger to the stage, has been in various pageants around the area, has performed on various stages, is a competitive cheerleader at TADA and is a vocal student at Clements Talent Coaching.

Sally’s court are as follows: First alternate was Sue Ellen Broussard, wearing an elegant magenta chiffon gown. Wearing a white chiffon gown with a beaded bodice was second alternate, Ann Burtram Harrison. Third alternate was Caroline Overmyer in a flowing white gown with crystal embellishments. Wearing a beautiful Christmas red ball gown was fourth alternate, Camryn Alysse Herron.

The top 16, again because of a statistical tie, were Sally Mackey, Harley Blake Johnston, Camryn Alysse Herron, Caroline Overmyer, Hannah Catheryne Webb, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Harwell, Lauren Brooke Boone, Riley Elizabeth Reynolds, Natalie Bahia Saliba, Mary-McClain Colgrove, Anne Burtram Harrison, Sue Ellen Marie Broussard, McKenzie Lain Walker, Hali Michele Clements, Caroline Leigh-Ann Gibbs and  Anna Michael Rhyne.
