Sadie Koch Hall

Sadie Koch Hall passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 peacefully at the home of her daughter in Pennington, AL.

Sadie was born in Pittsburg, PA on December 13, 1935 to the late Erich A. and Mary Koch. She graduated from Allderdice High School and then became a Bell South telephone operator in Pennsylvania.

Sadie moved to Miami, FL where she met the late Douglas Hall and moved to Linden where they married on March 22, 1958 and had three children.

Sadie attended Calvary Baptist Church and became a Sunday School Teacher. Sadie accepted the Lord into her life at an early age and reared her children as such.

Sadie loved to cook, crochet, read, be outside and work in her yard. She also loved her children’s friends and mentored many with her loving heart, her lending ear, her huge smile and her tight hugs.

Sadie worked at the 5 & 10 and Ruth’s for several years each where she met and worked with many more young people whom she touched and they loved her.

In later years after widowed she continued to reside in her Linden home being visited by family and friends.

With her long illness the family would like to thank the Comfort Care Hospice Staff for their love and care over these years.

She is survived by her son, Reese Hall of Linden, AL; three daughters, Patty (John) Snelling of Lakeland, FL; Beth (Tim) Glosson of Pennington, AL; and Charlotte (Mark) Barkley of Linden, AL; brother, Erich Koch of Poulsbo, WA; grandson, James Justin Harris of Pennington, AL; two granddaughters, Krista Nicole Kardon of Lakeland, FL; and Jamie Lynn Hall of Prattville, AL; great grandson, Bryce Thompson of Lakeland, FL; seven nephews, Ric Koch, Bill, Koch, Jeff Koch, Kirk Hall, Collin Hall, Reid Hall, and Wade Hall; niece, Paige Hall Lyon; two brother-in-laws, Bobby Joe Hall and Robert Wayne Hall of Linden, AL; two sister-in-laws, Cheryl Hall and Faye Hall of Linden, AL.
