Pritchett throws Panthers past ALJ

Marengo (3-1, 3-0) rebounded assertively from its first loss of the season by running through intra-county rival A.L. Johnson 34-0 Friday night.

Cordarius Pritchett opened the scoring by hitting Curtis Autery for a 25-yard touchdown pass. Pritchett then found Quinarius Ausbon for a 30-yard strike to leave the Panthers with a 12-0 halftime lead.

Prtichett found his way through the air again in the third quarter when he hooked up with Alphonzo Lewis for a 26-yard touchdown pass to move the advantage to 20-0.

D’Mario King then recovered a fumble and returned it 19 yards for the 28-0 lead.

Lewis capped the scoring with a 17-yard run with 1:05 left in the contest.

The Panthers hit the road next week to face Class 3A Mobile Christian. A.L. Johnson (1-4, 1-2) hosts Ellwood Christian.
