Ian Clements reports for his first day of “big” school at Westside Elementary. I now join the ranks of apprehensive parents who have walked away from their child on a first day of school. I do find some relief in the fact that he was happy to be there and wasn’t the least concerned that we were leaving him. The family member who was most reluctant to leave was his little brother who stated “I want to go to school, too.” His time will come.
