Night two of the annual Christmas on the River pageants commenced with the crowning of the Miss Junior Christmas on the River at the Demopolis Civic Center Tuesday night. It was another night of beauty and poise as the Master of Ceremonies, Dr. Ken Tucker, announced all 26 excited young ladies. After the parade of beauties the top 12 were announced as follows, Mary Creigh Smith, Mazzy Alease Marlowe, Cassidy Claire Crawford, Aerial LaKnoxy Irby, Taylor Nicole Langley, Taylor Alysse Dunklin, Anna Kathryn Golden, Mary Clanton Webb, Molly Katherine Harrison, Isabella Brasfield Reid, Abigayle Marie Quinney and Buckley Elizabeth Nettles.

With a long intermission the anticipation continued to build as everyone was ready to meet Miss Junior Christmas on the River 2015 and her court. As they asked everyone to take their seats, Dr. Tucker started to announce the following winners.

Fourth alternate, wearing a beautiful white tulle and crystal gown, was Mary Creigh Smith. Mary is a sixth grader at Demopolis Middle School and is the daughter of Montgomery and Elizabeth Smith.

In a classic turquoise satin gown, Abigayle Marie Quinney was announced as third alternate. Abigayle is the daughter of Harold and Natalie Quinney. She attends DMS and is in the seventh grade.

Aerial LaKnoxy Irby earned second alternate in a gorgeous orange quinceanera ball gown. Aerial is in the sixth grade at DMS and is the daughter of Jhonathan and Jeannetta Irby.

Wearing a stunning pink and rhinestone encrusted gown was first alternate, Taylor Langley. She is the daughter of Mark Langley and Amanda Hansard. Taylor is an eighth grader at DMS.

Miss Junior Christmas on the River 2015 is Buckley Elizabeth Nettles. Buckley wore a sparkling silver and white gown. She is the daughter of Ed and Heidi Nettles and attends DMS where she is in the sixth grade. Buckley is no stranger to the COTR scene, carrying the past titles of Little and Young Miss COTR. She will represent the pageant well and looks forward to being on the float with all of her friends in the court.

Tomorrow night continues the pageantry with the Young Miss Christmas on the River competition at the Civic Center at 7 p.m.
