Marengo County under tornado watch

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for much of South and West Alabama including Marengo County today until 4 p.m.
The storm system known as Isaac made landfall today approximately 20 to 30 miles east of its original projection. That leaves most of Mississippi and Western portion of Alabama on the storm’s Eastern band, resulting in the threat of severe weather and tornadic activity in affected areas.
Tornado warnings have already been issued today in Choctaw and Washington counties and a possible touchdown has been reported in Geneva County.
National Weather Service is also issued a tornado warning in Lauderdale County in Mississippi, which includes the city of Meridian.
