Marengo county crash claims Tuscaloosa man

SELMA POST — A two-vehicle crash today, August 27, has claimed the life of a Tuscaloosa man and injured another. Andrew Deedward Bryant, 21, was killed when the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu in which he was a passenger collided with a 2015 Peterbilt driven by Robert James, 42, of Lockhart, Miss.. Bryant, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The crash occurred at 4:00 a.m. on U.S. 80 at the 49.6 mile marker, approximately one mile south of Faunsdale. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
