Marengo Academy holds Spelling Bee

The Spelling Bee was recently held at Marengo Academy in grades 4th through 8th. Local winners are front row left to right, Claudia Peppenhorst, 8th grade, Ashleigh Overstreet, 5th grade, Dylan Freeman, 7th grade. Back row, Riley Newton, 6th grade, Elliot, Simmons, 4th grade. These local winners competde at the District Spelling Bee held at Southern Academy.  Spelling Bee sponsor is Leah Moore.

District Spelling Bee winners representing Marengo Academy are Claudia Peppenhorst, 8th grade, Riley Newton, 6th grade and Ashleigh Overstreet, 5th grade.  These winners competed at the State Spelling Bee held at Huntingdon on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
