Man transferred to DCH after gunshot wounds, DPD hunting suspect

The Demopolis Police Department is searching for Christopher Banks after a Saturday afternoon shooting on Patterson Drive.

Banks, 27, has resided in both Gallion and Greene County and is wanted for the First Degree Assault of Joe Vaughn.

The incident took place Saturday at approximately 5:50 p.m. Vaughn was transferred to Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa where he has been receiving treatment for gunshot wounds to the leg.

Demopolis Police Department Chief Tommie Reese said Banks should be considered armed and dangerous and implored anyone with any information as to the suspect’s whereabouts to contact the DPD at 334-289-3073 or call the Tip Line at 334-289-1457.
