MA math team takes second in state

The Marengo Academy Junior High Math Team placed second in the state competition behind Lee-Scott Academy. Other teams competing in the event were Faith Academy, Sparta Academy, Lakeside Academy, Morgan Academy and Tuscaloosa Academy.

Competition team members included Kimberly Parker, Hannah Freeman, Landon Houlditch, Weldon Aydelott and Robert Gibbs.

Alternates were Cameron Peppenhorst, Mary Jordan Drake and Austen Day.

Leigh Griffith sponsored the event. Angela Smith served as a fill-in for Griffith during the competition.
